About the Organizers
In alliance with the Amazon Literary Partnership, CLMP has been instrumental in supporting the essential work of literary magazines for over 56 years. The Literary Magazine Fund, launched in 2019, aims to continue this legacy by providing financial assistance to literary magazines.The Amazon Literary Partnership is dedicated to helping writers tell their stories and connect with readers. By supporting nonprofit literary organizations, they empower writers to create, publish, learn, teach, experiment, and thrive.
Their grant funding promotes diverse voices and contributes to the broader literary and publishing communities.
CLMP ensures a vibrant, diverse literary landscape by assisting mission-driven independent literary magazines and presses. Since 1967, CLMP has provided publishers with funding, technical assistance, and peer-to-peer learning opportunities. They serve as a hub for best practices, resources, and community support, connecting publishers with readers, writers, booksellers, educators, and funders nationwide.
Eligibility for

- Literary magazines and presses must be mission-driven and independent.
- Publishers should demonstrate a commitment to fostering a vibrant and diverse literary landscape.
- More so, applicants must be actively engaged in producing literary content and serving their respective communities.
Submission Guidelines
- To apply for a grant from the 2024 Literary Magazine Fund, follow these steps

- Submit the application before the deadline on April 15, 2024.
Grant Fee
- A panel of judges convened by CLMP will recommend grant recipients, with final award decisions made by the Amazon Literary Partnership and CLMP.
