The Impact West Africa Fellowship program 2024, in collaboration with the Aspen Global Innovators group, offers a fully funded fellowship opportunity in Senegal, West Africa. 

This 12-month program is designed to facilitate learning, networking, and impactful projects for individuals worldwide, with no age limit. Through a combination of virtual and in-person engagements, fellows will gain valuable insights, connections, and resources to drive impactful initiatives in health, economic empowerment, gender equity, and other relevant fields.

The Impact West Africa Fellowship Program Overview

  • The fellowship comprises virtual training, mentorship sessions, and two in-person meetings in Senegal. 
  • Participants will engage in online sessions for 10-15 hours per month while continuing their work in their home countries. 
  • In-person meetings are scheduled for September 2024 and Jan/Feb 2025 in Dakar, Senegal.



  • Participants will gain exposure to various platforms, events, and projects, enhancing the visibility and acknowledgment of their work.
  • The fellowship fosters an environment of peer-to-peer interaction, promoting learning, flexibility, and teamwork.
  • Access to workshops, seminars, and curated content provides fellows with tools and resources to address global issues in health and development.
  • Fellows will join a global network of approximately 300 innovators, experts, and champions.


Financial Support

  • The fellowship is fully sponsored, with no participation fee.
  • Airfare, local transportation, accommodation, and meals during in-person meetings in Senegal are covered by the host organization.


Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be citizens of any West African country.
  • Demonstrate commitment to addressing issues affecting West Africa.
  • Have access to internet connectivity and be able to attend the entire program.
  • Possess a strong leadership record in business or entrepreneurship.


Application Process For The Impact West Africa Fellowship Program 

  • Respond to questions regarding achievements, advocacy experience, and goals for the fellowship.
  • Submit required documents: photograph, statement of support, resume, valid passport, and educational transcripts.


Fellowship Program Dates:

September 2024- First convening in Dakar (Tentative)

November 2024- First Virtual Training (Tentative)

Jan/Feb 2025- Second convening, location TBD (Tentative)

April 2025– Second Virtual Training (Tentative)

July 2025- Final Virtual Training (Tentative)
