Fourteen Poems: Call for Submissions for LGBTQ+ Poets

Fourteen Poems Anthology: Submit Now

Fourteen Poems, the London-based press championing the most exciting voices in queer poetry, is inviting submissions for its upcoming anthology. The editorial team is seeking work that reflects the thrilling new wave of LGBTQ+ poets—from emerging voices to established talents.

If you’ve been thinking about submitting your poetry for publication but need inspiration, you might enjoy reading how one poet earned their first $1,200 from writing and publishing poetry.

Submission Guidelines for Fourteen Poems

  • Format: Send up to five previously unpublished poems in a single Word or PDF document.
  • Bio: Include a short paragraph about yourself—how you identify, your previous publications (if any), and a glimpse into your creative approach. Keep your name off the actual poems for blind judging.
  • Restrictions: No graphics, images, or translations. Work must not have been previously published online or in print.
  • Eligibility: Open worldwide, free to submit, and simultaneous submissions are welcome.
  • Payment: £30 per poem published.

Anthology Details

Fourteen Poems publishes its anthology three times a year. The deadline for Issue 18 is 9 a.m. London time, September 1, 2025.

  • Receipt confirmations will be sent by September 29, 2025.
  • All poets will hear back by early December 2025, regardless of the outcome.
  • Email submissions to hello@14poems.com.

Solo Pamphlets

Each year, the press publishes a select batch of poetry pamphlets from poets whose work they find irresistible. The 2024/25 submission window is closed, but expect it to reopen in late autumn 2025. You can sign up for their newsletter to be notified when they are accepting new pamphlet proposals.
