Eisner Prize Fellowship 2024 is currently accepting Application

The Eisner Foundation is excited to announce the opening of applications for the Eisner Prize Fellowship 2024.

This fellowship is designed to support leaders pioneering innovations in intergenerational connection. Since 2011, the Eisner Foundation has awarded the Eisner Prize to honor people and organizations doing exceptional intergenerational work across the country.

In this next phase, the Eisner Prize Fellowship aims to provide financial resources, networking opportunities, and the prestige of the Eisner Prize to leaders with new ideas and perspectives that will propel the field forward.

Eligibility

  • The fellowship is open to anyone working in the United States. Anyone who is innovating in the area of intergenerational connection. This can include research, programs, technology, or other efforts advancing the field.
  • Young people, people of color, and those working with historically marginalized communities are particularly encouraged to apply.
  • Applicants can apply regardless of affiliation. Students, individuals working in nonprofits, government, for-profits, or those unaffiliated with any organization are welcome to apply.
  • Note that the fellowship is for individuals and not intended to serve as a grantmaking program for nonprofits
  • While nonprofit staff may apply and execute their project under the umbrella of their organization, the proposed project should be something new, envisioned, and executed by the Fellow.
  • More so, Co-leadership teams can apply but must select one person as the main contact. The award funds would remain the same for each Fellowship, even if it is awarded to a team.

Submission Guidelines

To apply for the Eisner Prize Fellowship, please follow these guidelines:

  • Application Period: The application will be open from April 24 through May 22, 2024.
  • Notification: Fellows will be notified by mid-June.
  • Fellowship Duration: Furthermore,  the Fellowship will begin in July 2024 and run for a full year.

Applicants need to provide the following information and documents:

1. Personal Information:
– Full name
– Date of birth
– Nationality
– Contact information

2. Project Proposal:
– A detailed description of the intergenerational initiative you propose to undertake. In addition, explain how your project will advance the field of intergenerational connection.
– Outline the goals, methods, and potential impact of your project.
– Provide a timeline for the project, indicating key milestones and deliverables.

3. Budget
– An estimated budget detailing how the $40,000 will be utilized toward your initiative.
– Include any other sources of funding or support if applicable.

4. Resume or CV:
– Include your educational background, work history, and any relevant publications or projects.

5. Letter of Recommendation:
A letter from a mentor, colleague, or other professional who can speak to your qualifications and the potential impact of your project.

Reward

The Eisner Prize Fellowship offers substantial benefits to its recipients:

– For the 2024-25 cycle, 3-5 leaders in the intergenerational space will be awarded the Fellowship.
– Each Fellow will receive a total of $50,000: a $10,000 stipend and $40,000 to be used toward their particular intergenerational initiative.
– The Fellowship provides an opportunity to gain recognition, build networks, and contribute significantly to the field of intergenerational connection.
