Bending Genres Journal Is Currently Accepting Submissions/ How To Submit

Bending Genres Journal seeks thrilling, fanciful, oddball, unusual, stunning fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction pieces. They are committed to publishing the best fiction, poetry and creative non-fiction.

They want you to have odd thoughts like Olympics on a case of Red Bull. Think October in April. Think Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey. A world not quite right? Yes, that is Bending Genres. If you are interested in your work being published by them, please go through the following guidelines.

Submission Guidelines For Bending Genres Journal

They ask previous contributors to wait at least six months before submitting again. However, submissions to a different category are okay and will be considered.
Please limit your submission to one category per month. Do not leave them to make the decision for you.
They also do not accept previously published work.
Simultaneous submissions are not allowed.
All rights revert to author upon publication.

Fiction Guidelines

They are looking for fiction that is experimental, gut-wrenching, terrifying, gorgeous, breakneck speed, delightful, memorable and secretive. They like blending genres, hybrid writing, blurred lines, and so on.
Please send them one story. Also, please have the document (.doc or .docx) in Times New Roman 12pt.
The word count for your short story should be 1,000 words or less. Please include the word count on the document.
Remember that they do not want simultaneous submissions.

Creative Non-fiction

For Creative Non-fiction, they also want content that is experimental, gut-wrenching, terrifying, honest, breakneck speed, whooshing out, fabulous and secretive. They like blending genres, mixed and hybrid writing, blurred and creative lines crossed.
Please have the document (.doc or .docx) in Times New Roman 12pt.
The word count for your creative non-fiction should be 1,500 words or less. Please include the word count on the document.
No simultaneous submissions too.

Poetry Guidelines

They are looking for poems that are unusual, experimental, terrifying, delightful, stunning, rare, deep, whooshes out, magnanimous and secretive. They enjoy blending genres, hybrid writing, blurred lines and creative bursts of stylistic fusion.
Please send up to three poems in a single document (Times New Roman, 12pt). They accept .doc or .docx files.
Just like for the others, they do not want simultaneous submissions.
