Writers Parabola Magazine is seeking submissions for its quarterly journal on the theme ‘wellness’

Parabola accepts original essays, translations and poetry. They like well researched, objective, and unsentimental that are grounded in one or more religious or cultural tradition, or other person experiences.

Submission Guidelines for Parabola Magazine Submission

• Entries must revolve around the theme
• Entries should be submitted with a brief 2-3 sentence biography
• The bio description should be fitted the subject article, e.g., for an article on Tibetan Buddhism “Smith spent three years travelling in Tibet”

Articles

• Original fiction is rarely accepted but essays are welcomed
• Entries should be submitted as a .doc, .txt, .rtf attachment
• Entries be sent to [email protected]

Mailed submissions are to be accompanied by a stamped, self addressed return envelope, #10 or larger. Submissions without SASE will not be returned.

The length of submission should vary according to the list below

• Articles: 1,000 – 3,000 words
• Book reviews: 500 words
• Retelling of traditional stories: 500 – 1,500 words
• Forum Contributions: no longer than 50 words

Poetry

• Submission are limited to maximum of 5 poems per author
• The file must be transmitted under author’s name
• All the poems should be in a single file but separated by page break
• Submission should be sent to [email protected]

Tangents

• This is an extended review if books, movies, videos, performance, art exhibition and other current program or event
• This should also be relation to the theme
• Entries should be submitted to [email protected]

Prizes for Parabola Magazine Submission

• Between $150 – $400 which may be negotiable
• Publication
