Ake Review 2020/ How to Submit

Ake Book Festival

The theme of the 8th edition of Ake Arts and Book Festival is Black Magic. Ake wants to explore the expansion of black imagination and black consciousness.

AkeFest2020 will be full of much more creativity than one has ever seen before.

Bringing to light the mythologies and belief systems that have sustained Africa and her Diaspora through years of disruption and change.

They seek to celebrate the magic of black people as well as notions of black excellence. Their literary focus will be children’s writing and political memoirs.
