The Hudson Review is now accepting submissions for the Frederick Morgan Poetry Contest, open from July 1 to July 31, 2025. This annual contest honors the literary legacy of Frederick Morgan, the journal’s founding editor, and aims to spotlight emerging poetic voices who have not yet published in The Hudson Review.

Contest Details
- Submission Window: July 1–31, 2025
- Deadline: July 31 at 5:30 p.m. EDT
- Submission Limit: Up to five unpublished poems
- No entry fee
Contest Prizes
- First Prize: $1,000 + publication in The Hudson Review
- Second and Third Prizes: $500 each + publication
Winners will be selected from poets making their first appearance in the journal, which makes this contest an excellent gateway for newcomers to build their publication credentials.
