It is always exciting to hear about a new arts and culture event slated to hold in Enugu. Oh well, perhaps it is because I am resident in Enugu. But then again, I have developed a soft spot for this cool and quiet city.

If you live around the South East or you’ve been looking for an excuse to visit, there will be an open mic event. And there is no registration fee.

According to the organizers, there will be poetry readings, acoustic music, spoken word poetry performances, karaoke and other inspirational performances. Their ‘vision is to give viable platform to these talented individuals and showcase them to the world’.

Performing artists and guests stand a chance of winning prizes and freebies.

The event will hold on Sunday, 16th July, 2017 at 6PM.

Venue: Panda Lounge, Beside Polo Park (Shoprite) Mall, Enugu
