Creating a Strong Application for the Competition
- To write a story that will win the heart of your reader, you must understand your audience’s needs. Read through old articles and spreads and find the commonality between the most popular ones. Research high-profile people on the Vogue team and discover their passion projects. This
- Open your article with a gripping problem statement, a piquant and relevant quote or pressing forecast. Show the reader early why this is a subject matter that deserves attention and airtime. This will hook them and make your article standout
- Articles and stories only become real when we feel their bite and see the potential impact of their subject matter. Capture the reader’s emotions by incorporating recent examples or case studies that support your point.
- Vogue is all about glitz and glamor, the luxurious and the lavish—and this should feature in your work. Embroider your work with puns and portmanteaus. Sprinkle in a few fashion analogies. Whether you are writing on the psychology behind limited drops or the weaponization of loyalty cards, let your work pulse with the oomph that is peculiar to vogue.
