Mobility Requirements for Erasmus Mundus Students

Erasmus Mundus regulations require students to study in at least two countries, neither of which may be your country of permanent residence.

This means:

  • Students permanently residing in the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Germany, or the UK must choose a second-year specialisation outside their home country.
  • Because the first semester is always in Denmark, students with permanent residency in Denmark must complete their second semester at a designated Study Abroad partner university. Their second year will be at the specialisation university they choose.

Data Protection and Processing

Applicant data may be used for programme evaluation, project management, and statistical purposes. Data may be shared with the EACEA, European Commission, external services, national agencies, and Erasmus Mundus partner organisations. Applicants should review EACEA’s data policies to understand how personal information is handled.

Final Notes

The Mundus Journalism programme is offered in partnership with leading institutions around the world, including Aarhus University, the University of Amsterdam, Charles University Prague, City University of London, LMU Munich, UC Berkeley, and many others.
