Aké Review is Accepting Literary Submissions / How to Submit.

It is that time of the year again! Now in its 13th year, The Aké Arts and Book Festival calls for submissions for the 2025 edition of the AKÉ Review. They are inviting writers and artists to explore the theme, Reclaiming Truth.

What AKÉ is looking for:

• They accept poetry, fiction, reflections, and artworks.
• Submit a maximum of three poems.
• Fiction/reflection pieces should be a maximum of 800 words.
• For Artworks, submit a maximum of two works in high resolution jpeg.
• Submissions must be related to the theme, Reclaiming Truth. 

Submission Guidelines for the AKÉ Review:

• Submissions must be unpublished and the original work of the author.
• All submissions should be made to their email: editor@akefestival.org
• Send submissions as an attachment, with the subject line: ‘AR25 Submission’.
• Ensure to attach a bio of not more than 70 words.
• They are accepting only one entry per person.
• All submissions should be made by Friday, 15th August 2025.

PAYMENT:

Aké offers two copies of the AKÉ Review and a token fee to their contributors.
