Great River Review is seeking submissions from BIPOC poets for their Spotlight Issue. In late August, they will publish four BIPOC poets in a mini spotlight issue. The selected poets will give a mini reading of their work (between 3 and 5 minutes).
Great River Review is an online literary journal dedicated to publishing the best in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and translation. Founded in 1975, it is the longest running literary journal in Minnesota.
Works that were first published in Great River Review have been reprinted in Pushcart Prize: Best of the Small Presses, Best American Travel Essays, Best American Sports Stories, and more. In 2002, the journal was the recipient of the Minnesota State Book Award for its twenty-fifth anniversary issue.
The Great River Review has published some of the finest writers. Some of them include: Ted Kooser, Robert Bly, Philip Levine, and Linda Pastan.

Who Is Eligible to Submit:
- BIPOC poets from anywhere in the world.
- There is no submission fee.
How to Submit to the Great River Review Spotlight Issue:
- Submit 1 – 3 poems.
- All kinds of poems will be considered, including visual poems.
- The poems should be in Times New Roman or Garamond, 12 pt.
- The submission file should be in doc., docx., or PDF.
- The deadline for submission is August 24, 2020.
- They will respond to all submissions by August 25, 2020.

Payment:
- Each selected poet will receive $120.
- The selected poems will be published in Great River Review.
