The University Of Iowa presents their newest MOOC titled IWP Online Writing Summer!

Registration is now open for their free online summer courses. The theme for this 2017 is Power of the Pen: Identities and Social Issues . The first set of course will kick off May 15-July 3!

According to the press release, “In these online courses, we will explore the influence of social issues on individual, community, and global identities. We will write fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and plays.”

No previous experience is needed. It is open to writers at all levels. This course will be taught by Professor Venise Berry and Professor Christopher Merrill, Lisa Schlesinger as well as other longtime friends and collaborators.

You are invited to experiment in poetry, essay, letters, memoir, journalism, photography and illustration.

This course is free and open to everyone.

This MOOC will be taught in English. To join, you will need access to a computer or mobile device with a stable internet connection.
