Fractured Lit is a new literary magazine seeking original works of flash fiction that are packed with emotional resonance. They want flash that “investigates the mysteries of being human, the sorrow and the joy of connecting to the diverse population around us.” They are open for submissions year-round. They accept flash fiction and micro fiction and micro series.

Eligibility:

  • Writers from anywhere in the world.
  • There is no submission fee.

How to Submit:

  • Submit two flash fiction pieces of between 401 and 1000 words each.
  • For micro series submissions, include 3 micro pieces of up to 400 words each; all the three pieces should not exceed 1600 words.
  • Or two micro fiction pieces of up to 400 words each.
  • Submissions should be original, but reprints would also be considered. Though Fractured Lit won’t pay for reprints.
  • Submit here.

Payment:

  • Fractured Lit pays $75 for original flash fiction and original micro series.
  • For original micro fiction, they pay $50.
