The maiden edition of The Stigma Tertiary Essay Competition hinges on the growing attraction of the world outside formal education to young Nigerians.

In the recent years, social commentators have substantially discussed and written on how formal education in Nigeria has become excessively unattractive to our youths in terms of quality and process; how the government at all levels are paying grossly inadequate attention to this anomaly and how social and non-educational activities are at the core of corporate fascination.

Hence, Sigma Club, as a nation and youth oriented organisation is hereby amplifying this concern by inviting eligible youths to join in the discussion by sending in their entries on the topic;

‘FORMAL EDUCATION AND THE NIGERIAN YOUTH: WHY IS THE STREET TAKING OVER’

PRIZES (Naira) INCLUDE:

 1ST PRIZE: 100,000

 2ND PRIZE: 50,000
